Regional Talk - LAC

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In this session we explore the diverse open data ecosystem in the LAC region. Through a Q&A session we invite leaders in government, academia, civil society, and the private sector to reflect on the current state of affairs in the LAC region in terms of government policies, early successes, and challenges ahead. Is the open data movement helping governments and civil society to improve democratic accountability? Can the LAC open data ecosystem contribute innovations that are inclusive and serve most of the people, including the most vulnerable? What do we need to scale up open data initiatives and how do we go forward? How do we advance with constrained resources?
