The European coordination effort is proving key in offering guidelines and facilitating data accessibility, mixing a soft and hard approach for open data policy implementation across all countries. Specific European initiatives will be presented to showcase approaches increasing data accessibility, including two full-fledged data portals: one for the data of the institutions of the EU and the other one harvesting the data from all the European countries; a best case of national open data portal will also be presented.
