Title proposal: Unlocking open transport data innovations for smarter urban transport.

Biography: Alla Morrison is a Data Scientist at the World Bank, where she is currently working on a pilot program to support Innovations in Development Data.  In the last two years in Transport & ICT Global Practice, she advised governments in Africa, South Asia, Europe and the Caribbean on digital initiatives, including open government data programs, data-driven solutions to transport problems and predictive analytics capacity building.  Prior to that, as part of the Bank's Open Finances team, she led the research of data-driven businesses in low and middle income countries, built partnerships with Big Data for Development players, and led mobilization of resources to support digital data ecosystems in client countries.  Prior to the World Bank, she founded and managed AsiaSource Consulting Ltd. in Hong Kong and worked in financial advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, DC.  Alla holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Arts in German Literature degree from St. Petersburg State University in Russia.
