Biography: Gilbert is the Coordinator and Head of Secretariat of Africa Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC). Since 2010, he has championed citizens access to information, open contracting and open government across Africa.

 He holds a Masters degree in Management studies, a postgraduate diploma in project planning and management and a bachelors degree in Socialwork and Social Administration. 

 Gilbert previously worked with Transparency International Uganda, International Labour Organisation, Uganda Law Society and Save the Children among others.
