She holds Master degrees in International Communication (M.Sc.) and International Public Law (LL.M.). Her PhD research focused on EU integration on access to information and freedom of expression.
She previously held teaching and research positions at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and the UN University for Peace (Costa Rica). As a consultant she has worked with NGOs and IOs at the intersections of human rights, media and conflict in Central America and Central Africa.
