Biography:Kais Mejri has joined the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining since 1999 . He is currently the Director General of human, financial and logistical affairs as well as the head of governance unit within  the Tunisian ministry of industry, energy and mines.  Thus, he is leading the programs related to capacity building, open data development , governance issues, and  legal and institutional  framework  enhancement.

Kais is member of several steering committees, notably OGP national board, EITI  adherence  interdepartmental committee, and the national committee on hydrocarbon and mining codes revision . Kais is supporting the activities of the hydrocarbon  and mining  consultative  Committees as legal advisor. 

Kais  holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Tunis and a master’s in administration from Tunisian National School of Administration (ENA Tunis).
