Biography: Maggie Walter (PhD) is member of the Briggs/Johnson Tasmanian Aboriginal family and a descendant of the people from tebrakunna country in North Eastern Tasmania. She is passionately interested in Indigenous statistics and increasing Indigenous researcher’s statistical engagement. She is also Professor of Sociology and the inaugural Pro Vice-Chancellor of Aboriginal Research and Leadership at the University of Tasmania. She has published extensively in the field of race relations, inequality and research methods and methodologies.
