Pierre Chrzanowski

Biography: Pierre Chrzanowski is an Open Data specialist, based in Paris, working regularly as a consultant for the World Bank. He is the author of one of the first publications [1] in French on open data while he was working as an ICT Policy Officer at the French Embassy in the UK. Since then, Pierre has advised a number of Governments on Open Data, notably including Burkina Faso and more recently Sierra Leone, Haiti, and Tunisia. Pierre is also the author of the Open Energy Data Assessment methodology, [2] an adaptation of the World Bank Open Data Readiness Assessment to the energy sector. He has done work on Open Energy Data in Kenya and Ghana. Additionally, Pierre is a co-founder and board member of Open Knowledge France, [3] a local group of the Open Knowledge organization. He holds a Master degree in Information System Management from the University of Technology of Troyes and has also studied at the French Institute for International Relations and Strategic Affairs.
