Biography: Robert Watt is Director of Communications at SEI. He holds undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of London. As Director of Communications at SEI, he and his team of of communications experts work in close collaboration with researchers to bridge science to policy using data, stories, visualisations and much much more! Rob is currently on parental leave, so between childcare duties he's trying to find time to follow and contribute to the latest thinking on the science-policy interface, the ethics of research communication and the science of science communication. He is the co-founder of the Swedish Network for Science Communication, Forskom, whose first event was on 'Visual Storytelling'. Before working at SEI, Rob was a UK diplomat based in Brussels and has also served as an advisor in the Cabinet Office (the UK Prime Minister's department). Follow him @wattrob.
